ThankGodForWine.com was founded on the platform of years of memorable experiences and occasions highlighted by great wines. 

Our quest became seeking out exceptional domestic wines, from prestigious wineries and getting them to you, in the best possible condition, at fantastic prices.  We realized that our best wine experiences always came from recommendations, from trusted friends or by tasting the wines at the wineries themselves.  The wines always seemed fresher, brighter and more balanced directly at the winery. 

We took a close look at these factors and realized we had an opportunity to provide better wine experiences for you, by eliminating the guesswork and ensuring the highest quality. 

We eliminate the guesswork by personally tasting every wine we offer.  We only recommend wines that our panel of discerning palates unanimously agree upon.  We always take into account the wide spectrum of palates and personal preferences.  We select wines that have excellent overall appeal.  All wine drinkers from novice to connoisseur will find enjoyable characteristics in our selections.  If we wouldn’t drink it with our friends and family, then you shouldn’t have to either.

We also took a close look at how wines currently reach our glasses and immediately recognized the breakdown in the current distribution system.  Not only do the prices go up every time someone touches the wine, but correspondingly the quality goes down. That’s just wrong.

The current distribution path has many inherent flaws.  Wines go from the winery to a warehouse, then to a distributor’s warehouse, then to a retailers storage facility  and finally to you.  Along the way the pristine wine that left the winery, has been stored and shipped in a variety of questionable fashions, in a variety of less than optimal conditions.  Of course the wine tastes better at the winery. We bring the wines to you, directly from the winery, insuring the wines will taste better.

Lastly, our personal relationships with the wineries help us negotiate fantastic prices on all of the wines we offer.  No tiers of middlemen attempting to take their share of your hard earned dollars.

We feel that wine is an integral part of enjoying life and hope that in our own small way, by providing you the best wines, from the best estates, in the best condition, at the best prices, we have enhanced your life.
